คนส่วนใหญ่มักจะพูดกันว่า การอ่านการ์ตูนเป็นการ ผ่อนคลาย อารมณ์รูปแบบหนึ่ง มันน่าสนใจกว่าการอ่านหนังสือเรื่องธรรมดาตรงที่มีภาพประกอบด้วย แต่ถ้าบังเอิญไอ้คนคิดมาก (หนักไปทางเรื่องไร้สาระ) คนหนึ่งมาอ่านการ์ตูนเรื่องหนึ่งที่ บังเอิญ มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวข้องกับความเชื่อและประวัติศาสตร์สักอย่างเข้าล่ะ เป็นเรื่อง

ทั้งหมดเริ่มต้นขึ้นประมาณเดือนกุมภา ปีนี้ เมื่อดิฉันไปจิ๊กเอาการ์ตูนญี่ปุ่นเรื่องหนึ่ง (ซึ่งแม่น้องสาวก็ไป ตบ มาจากเพื่อนของมันสักคนอีกทีเหมือนกัน) จากชั้นหนังสือการ์ตูนหลังโต๊ะน้องมาอ่าน ชื่อเรื่อง ดี.เกรย์-แมน โดยคุณโฮชิโนะ คัตสึระ ลิขสิทธิ์ภาคภาษาไทยของ สนพ. สยามอินเตอร์คอมมิคส์

ทุกอย่างเริ่มต้นจากศูนย์ (เพราะคิดว่าไม่เคยได้ยินได้เห็นเรื่องนี้มาก่อนเลย) และอคติเล็กๆ (เนื่องจากเป็นผลงานแปลของ SIC + การ์ตูนแนว boys comics ของ Jump) แต่พออ่านจบเล่มปุ๊บ ไอ้เจ้าคนคิดมากคนนี้ต้องไปหาที่โหลดมาอ่านต่อทันทีเลย อันนี้ไม่ใช่เพราะดิฉันสนับสนุนการละเมิดลิขสิทธ์หรอกนะคะ เพียงเพราะว่าได้พยายามหาหนังสือรายสัปดาห์ที่ลงดีเกรย์ฯ เป็นตอนๆ แล้วมันได้ย้อนหลังไปประมาณ 10 กว่าตอนเท่านั้น ก็เลยต้องหันมาพึ่งพาการ โหลดนรก ทางอินเตอร์เน็ต (ที่ไม่เคยเร็วไปกว่า 53kbps) นี่แล

ถ้ามองข้ามการปฏิสัมพันธ์ของบรรดาตัวละคร (ที่ช่างชวนเชิญให้คิดระหว่างเฟรมเสียเหลือเกิน~) แล้วมาดูกันที่เค้าโครงเรื่องและการอ้างอิงเพียงอย่างเดียว ขอบอกเลยว่าสำหรับตัวเราแล้ว การอ่านดี.เกรย์ฯ มันทำให้รู้สึกราวกันว่าเหมือนมีอะไรติดๆ ค้างคาใจอยู่ตลอดเวลา คร่าวๆ ก็มี

• ในตอนที่ 1 ทำไมคนเขียนเหมือนจะจงใจวาดภาพกลุ่มนักบวชชุดดำและคลุมศีรษะด้วยฮู้ด เป็นกรอบแรก ของเนื้อเรื่อง
• ลักษณะเครื่องแบบของ Exorcist และเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูงในศาสนจักรแห่งความมืด ดำกับขาว?
• ไม้กางเขนที่ประดับอยู่บนเสื้อคลุมของ General, Exorcist และเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูง เรียกว่า กางเขนดอกกุหลาย
• ท่านเคานท์พันปี คำทำนายถึงหายนะ และโนอาห์
• ลักษณะของศูนย์บัญชาการของศาสนจักรแห่งความมืด
• ความสามารถในการต่อสู้ และคำสาบานของ Exorcist (ที่ว่าจะไม่หันหลังหนีคู่ต่อสู้ หรือพยายามร้องขอชีวิต)

พอแค่นี้ดีกว่าเนอะ~ ^^;

...ซึ่งทั้งหมดนี้ ทำให้เราคิดถึงอัศวินเทมปลาร์ (Knights Templar) และคณะสงฆ์ดอมินิกัน (Domincan Order) !

ถ้าคิดว่าคุณโฮชิโนะร่างโครงสร้างลักษณะของศาสนจักรแห่งความมืดโดยอาศัยเค้าโครงของกลุ่ม นักบวช สองคณะข้างต้น ทุกอย่างก็ลงตัวเป๊ะ~

เพราะเราจะเห็นลักษณะของโครงสร้างภายในศาสนจักรแห่งความมืด เครื่องแต่งกายที่ประดับด้วยกางเขนดอกกุหลาบ ปณิธานในการต่อสู้ และรูปแบบของการโจมตีแบบเทมปลาร์

และเราจะได้เห็นลักษณะการค้นหาอินโนเซ้นต์และการทำลายศัตรู ในแบบเดียวกันกับที่คณะสงฆ์ดอมินิกันใช้ในระหว่างเหตุการณ์ Inquisition

แล้วเรายังจะเห็นการรุกโจมตีกลับ และการอ้างสิทธิ์ในการเป็นสาวกที่แท้จริงของพระเป็นเจ้า เหมือนๆ กับที่พวกเทมปลาร์โดนกล่าวหาว่าเป็นพวกนกรีตและโดนสั่งลงโทษด้วยอีกเหมือนกัน

และที่สำคัญที่สุด คณะนักบวชทั้งสองคณะนี้ ต่างได้รับการรับรองให้ ฆ่า ได้อย่างชอบธรรม!

ถ้าความคิดของคุณโฮชิโนะเกิดไปอิงกับสิ่งที่เราคิดไปเองจริงๆ งานนี้จบไม่ดีแน่ เพราะมันเริ่มมี เค้า ลางในการกวาดล้างเหล่า Exorcist เหมือนกับที่ Philippe Le Bel ของฝรั่งเศสสั่งกวาดล้างอัศวินเทมปลาร์ในวันศุกร์ที่ 13 นะสิ~! ยิ่งลักษณะศูนย์บัญชาการฯ ดันไปดูเหมือนกับว่ายึดเอาหอคอยบาเบลเป็นต้นแบบอีก งานนี้มันก็มีแต่พังกับพังเท่านั้นแหละ

...ยกเว้นแต่คุณโฮชิโนะคิดทางออกเอาไว้เป็นอย่างอื่นแล้ว (ขนาดนู๋อเลนที่น่าพลาดท่าโดน ลบ ไปแล้วครั้งหนึ่งยังกลับมาได้เลยนิ)

แล้วเรื่องนี้ก็สอนให้รู้ว่า สำหรับบางคนแล้ว การ์ตูนมันไม่ได้มีไว้ให้อ่านเอาสนุกแต่อย่างเดียว

...และถ้าไม่จำเป็นก็อย่าวางอะไรไว้ใกล้ๆ มือคนบ้าเค่ะ เดี๋ยวก็เอามาเขียนเป็นวรรคเป็นเวรได้แบบนี้อีก เนอะ~

People normally consider reading comics as a sort of recreation, for anything with illustrations are always more interesting than pages thoroughly full of dark lines of alphabets. Very well, once a certain typical reader began to read a certain typical comic series thats accidentally got something to do with beliefs and history, it turns awfully spooky~!

So, well, it began one day in February as I took a Japanese comic book (that a friend of my sisters cordially lent it some time earlier) from the shelf behind my sisters desk. Its called D.Gray-man by Hoshino Katsura, licensed in Thailand by Siam Inter Comic.

And from point zero (I dont think Id have heard of it before) with a bit of prejudice (as being translated by the prominent SIC + the Jump-styled boys comics), I promptly searched the Internet for any available scanlated chapters as soon as I finished vol 1. By this I didnt mean to violate the copyright law, though. A couple of months ago it was truly impossible to catch any early chapters, except downloading from the fan sites. It was a hell on earth downloading large files with the never-faster-than 53kpbs Internet connection speed.

Apart from the interactions between characters which truly allure readers to think between the frames storyline and references alone are enough to hit my poor thoughts. For example:

• What was the creators intention to draw a line of clergymen in black hooded robes in the very first frame of vol 1?
• Uniforms for Exorcists and higher-ranked members in the Dark Religious Organization why in Black and White?
• The cross on the cloaks of the Dark Org is called the Cross of Roses, on a certain purpose?
• The Earl of the Millennium, the Apocalypse and the Noah
• The appearance of the Dark Orgs HQ building
• Exorcists fighting skills and vow (that they wont run away from the battle fields or beg for mercy from the enemy)

Gee... stop thinking already, ne? ^^;

And everything just too perfect to lead this typical reader to Knights Templar and the Dominican Order!

To presume that Hoshino-sensei crafted the Dark Religious Organization from the above-mentioned groups of clergymen, it simply fits~!

There, we see the structures of the Dark Org, uniforms with the Cross of Roses, the will to fight and tactics just like the Templar

And the search for Innocent and the way they destroy enemies are just the same as the Dominican Order did during the infamous Inquisition.

Also the tortures and the accusation of being heretics (by the Noah) the same things the Templar faced centuries ago.

And, most importantly, these 2 groups of clergymen were granted with the licence to kill!

If Hoshino-sensei happened to think in the crazy way as I did, itd be a pure disaster. There started the plan to exterminate exorcists just as Philippe Le Bel of France did against the Templar on Friday 13^th~! Even the HQ building is so strangely similar to the Babel Tower, which only seems to enhance the idea that everything would finally crumble down.

Only if Hoshino-sensei did plan a better ending. (Look, the once-deleted Allen comes back, anyway)

And so you see, for a certain person, comics arent purely for entertainment.

Well, in fact, itd be much better to keep it out of this mad readers reach or itll result as this babbling.
