ว่าด้วยการอ่านหนังสือในช่วงแรกๆ : หนังสือการ์ตูน

งานอดิเรกที่เราชอบมากๆ ก็คือ การอ่านหนังสือค่ะ

...และ "หนังสือ" ที่พูดถึงนี้หมายความรวมเอา "หนังสือการ์ตูน" เข้าไปด้วยนะคะ

เชื่อไหมคะ หนังสือเล่มแรกๆ ที่เราอ่านคือ "หนังสือการ์ตูน" นั่นเอง และก็เป็นการ์ตูนอมตะที่ไม่มีวันจบอีกด้วยนะคะ การ์ตูนเรื่องนั้นก็คือ "โดราเอม่อน" -- เรื่องราวการผจญภัยของเด็กแว่นขี้แยกับเจ้าแมวหุ่นยนต์ สีฟ้าๆ ที่มาจากศตวรรษที่ 22

(เริ่มนับถอยหลังกันหรือยังคะ ตอนนี้ฮีโร่เอเชียของเรามีอายุได้ -107 ปีแล้วนะ - ข้อมูลจาก 1000tip ค่ะ)

จะว่าไปแล้วก็น่าเสียใจอยู่บ้าง ที่ "ผู้ใหญ่" บางคนในสังคมแห่งนี้มักไม่ค่อยยอมรับว่าจริงๆ แล้วการ์ตูนก็มีประโยชน์ มีส่วนช่วยเปิดโลกทัศน์และสร้างเสริมจินตนาการให้เด็กๆ ...หรือแม้กระทั่งคนที่โตแล้วหลายๆ คนด้วยซ้ำ แต่กลับมองกันในลักษณะที่ว่าการ์ตูนเป็นเรื่องไร้สาระ เป็นตัวทำให้เสียเวลาและเงินทอง

โชคร้ายค่ะ ที่คนในบ้านเราจัดอยู่ในประเภทหลังกันซะทุกคนเลย...

นั่นเป็นสาเหตุสำคัญ ที่ทำให้เราต้องอยู่ในภาวะ "สุญญากาศ" ทางการ์ตูนเป็นพักใหญ่ ประมาณกันคร่าวๆ ก็น่าจะเกือบ 10 ปีได้ และกลายมาเป็น ปัจจัยหลัก ให้เราบ้าอ่านการ์ตูนเอามากๆ ตั้งแต่หลังจากที่เรียนจบจนกระทั่งเดี๋ยวนี้

(ซึ่งก็แน่หล่ะ โดนด่าอีกแล้ว ข้อหาที่แรงๆ ก็คือ ไม่ยอมโต -- คนเรียนหนังสือเค้าไม่มาเสียเวลาทำอะไร บ้า ๆแบบนี้หรอก และก็อายุขนาดนี้เป็นคนอื่นเค้ามีลูกมีเต้าไป 2 - 3 คนแล้ว)

อะไรกันหนอที่สร้างความรู้สึกทางด้านลบกับการ์ตูนให้ผู้ใหญ่บางคนได้ขนาดนี้...

On my early reading: Comic books

Reading is my favourite hobby.

...and when I say "reading", comic books are included in the category.

Do you believe that the very first books I read were comic books named Doraemon -- a timeless story on the adventures of a feeble, bespectacled boy and a bluish, cat-like robot from the 22nd Century?

[As for now, our Asia's Hero is -107 years old (repeat, minus one hundred and seven years old). Should we start counting down for him? -- Information taken from 1000tip.com, a popular local webboard.]

Says, it's quite regretful that some Adults in the Thai society tend to deny that comic books aren't entirely bad, for they also help children -- and some grow-ups, too -- to broaden their views and their creativity to blossom. ...Instead, they firmly hold on to the theory that comic books are the waste of time and money -- a non-sense stuff.

And, unfortunately, elder members in my family entirely belong to the latter group...

This is the reason why my comic record had been in the absolute "blankness" for almost 10 years, and the main factor for my madness towards it ever since the graduation.

[And, of course, some of the elders have generated certain disheartening accuses like: "educated persons wouldn't waste their time on something stupid" or "people at your age might've got at least a couple of children... and you're still reading comics!"]

Well, well, well... What in the world makes those adults hold such negative attitude towards comics...?
